If you own 20% of a company or more, lenders will categorise you as Self-Employed. These lenders do require 2-3yrs tax returns (SA302s), and there are some lenders only require 1yr*

You might be a Sole Trader, a Partner, Director, or a Contractor who has set up a Limited Company. As a general rule of thumb, lenders need to see proof of your income, known as SA302s (Tax Overviews & Calculations).
